Parasitical infection remains as one of the greatest threats to the global population. Among prevalent, despite efforts on eradication, is malaria which still kills nearly 700,000 people annually. Our researchers are focused on studies involving mechanisms of parasite infection, diagnostics and parasite surveillance, development of antiparasitic drugs and vaccines, host immunity, and control of infection.
