Entamoeba Vesicular Trafficking (section 6)
A number of vesicular trafficking molecules have been characterized in the
Entamoeba histolytica genome including the coatomer proteins (COP) COPI,
COPII, clathrin-coated vesicles, ADP-ribosylation factor (Arf) proteins,
secretion-associated Ras-related (Sar) proteins, Adapter Proteins (APs) and soluble
N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptors (SNARE)
and will be available as supplementary tables to the
Advances
in Parasitology Review entitled "Structure and Content of the Entamoeba histolytica
Genome" (submitted).
Vesicular trafficking genes are presented in the supplementary table: The total number of putative genes encoding representative proteins involved in
vesicular trafficking in Entamoeba histolytica. The number of putative
genes for Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Caenorhabditis elegans, Drosophila melanogaster,
Homo sapiens and Arabidopsis thaliana and the corresponding references are
presented. Links to the corresponding PubMed IDs for the References are
listed, below.
Footnote:
Entamoeba histolytica Gene name 10 (b+c): note that the value of
10 corresponds to both the Qb and Qc genes.
