Review of major energy generating and biosynthetic
metabolism enzymes was highlighted in the Advances in Parasitology Review
(submitted): Structure and Content of the Entamoeba
histolytica Genome. The supplementary table data, presented
here corresponds to section 4.1 of this review. The metabolism enzymes
data is presented by section 4.1 sub-sections with Section Number, Section Name, EC Link to the IUBMB Enzyme
Nomenclature Database, KEGG Link to the KEGG database (Kyoto
Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomics),
Protein Accession to NCBI's Entrez Protein database,
Model Protein Accession (XP) to NCBI's Entrez
Protein database,
mRNA models (XM) included in the reannotation linked to TIGR's
Annotation Display (Pathema Annotation Link) for E. histolytica
annotation, or mRNA models not included in the reannoation linked to NCBI's Nucleotide database (Models Excluded from the Reannotation),
Gene Name and Comment.
Footnote: Entries with * in the Protein Accession column indicates when one or
more of the genome project models was found to be identical to the old
published sequences (Protein Accession). To indicate this situation,
the Protein Accession is included in the same row with each highly
similar model.
Please note that entries with ** have multiple Pathema Annotation.
*** The seven annotated purine nucleoside phosphorylase (PNP) genes
fall into two groups: the short group with 4 members and the long group with 3 members.
The short and long groups share ≤ 25% protein sequence identity.
